The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on the health, social and economic well-being of people in Canada and around the world. It has led to many significant changes in our daily lives. Vaccinating the Canadian population with safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines is essential for fully re-opening the Canadian economy and a return to “normalcy”.
Advancing Health-Care Practice
This workshop is an introduction to several key social issues which have enormous implications for women’s health, and for the care we provide: violence/abuse in women’s lives (including health-care providers), substance use, and pregnancy/mothering. There are full courses, web-based and face-to-face, on many of these subjects, and we encourage you to access them for more in-depth information. The primary goal of this workshop is to begin to explore the links between these issues, and to best practices in health-care.
