Volunteer with Atira
Volunteer your skills and teach arts and crafts, cooking, or gardening. Have a trade skill to share? We can create an opportunity for you here.
Share your Skills
Atira has exciting and meaningful opportunities for diverse volunteers including:
- Child and youth care and activities
- Cooking and meal prep
- Assistance with crafts nights, beauty nights, games nights, movie nights.
- Leading arts workshops at EWMA
- Assisting with EWMA studio and store
- Helping with intakes at our Legal Advocacy program
- Photography, video or graphic design
If you have another skill not listed that you would like to share as a volunteer, please get in touch and we’ll see if there’s a fit for you!
*Atira does not accept volunteers wishing to provide counselling or therapy services to women or children, though we do accept a limited number of practicum students each year in this field.
Get the Support to Succeed
We have a robust volunteer training program so you get the training, guidance and equipment you need to excel. You’ll be equipped with a volunteer agreement, liability insurance and a set number of training hours. After that, we’ll check in and see how you’re doing and if the role is a good fit.
Need more support? We have your back
