ReDiscover Parenting
ReDiscover Parenting is a closed, 15-week support group for women who have experienced violence/abuse. Participants are provided an opportunity to rediscover parenting for themselves. The curriculum is designed as an exploratory process that moves women from the outside in that is, from examining the influences of society, family of origin and experiences of abuse/trauma to examining one’s self.
The curriculum acknowledges the impact that violence against women has on the mother-child relationship and the challenges that women and children face in living free from violence/abuse. Women do not need to be parents or have current custody of their children to attend.
