Volunteer Spotlight: Kennedy Strukoff

Inspired by her thesis research, Kennedy now volunteers with our Legal team!

“Hello, my name is Kennedy and I have been volunteering with Atira in the Legal Advocacy department for a little under a year. I discovered Atira while conducting my thesis research for my undergrad. After interviewing the lovely women at Atira’s Legal Advocacy program, I asked if there were any opportunities for me to donate some of my time as a way to give back and gain some first hand experience in my field of study.

I have been very fortunate to connect with the wonderful women across many departments of the organization who each bring their own unique story and life experience to their roles within Atira. Volunteering at Atira also allowed me to connect with our staff lawyer, Caity Goerke, who is someone I greatly respect and view as a mentor. The tenacity, determination, and comradery of the women at Atira to make a difference is nothing short of inspirational.”
