Volunteer Spotlight: Ilena Cramer

Ilena teaches pottery classes to women at Enterprising Women Making Art!

Ilena is a potter who volunteers with Enterprising Women Making Art facilitating pottery workshops, including small pottery for the women at the EWMA gallery. Ilena enjoys volunteering her time and finds it inspiring and a privilege as an artist to come into a space with inspiring women to share a bit of her love for pottery with a new community.

One aspect of the pottery work she does with EWMA is making little pots to put succulents in or make small dishes to incense holders. The projects she gets to share with women in the community is something she finds incredibly grounding, literally grounding, when it comes to playing with clay. She is immensely grateful to spend time with people at EWMA and at Atira.
