Volunteer Spotlight: Angela Asabaawebwa

Angela assists women over the phone through our 24/7 call-in support line!

“My name is Angela Asabaawebwa, doing my second year of undergraduate in social justice at the University of British Columbia. I decided to volunteer with Atira because of its very practical and enriched theory about the different forms of oppression women face. Atira has and is preparing me to pursue my dream of being an advocate of women in society to influence global actions. I have loved working on the Atira crisis line since May 2019 and I am positive that I will work with Atira for a long time.”
