We are thrilled to announce that Port Coquitlam city council voted unanimously to move The Alex project forward, approving third reading at its Public Hearing last night (October 9th). We look forward to working with the City now to address some of the concerns raised by neighbours, including (but not limited to) traffic calming in the laneway that separates The Alex from its neighbours. This is an exciting project that will bring a mix of affordable housing to Port Coquitlam, including housing for women and women and children fleeing violence as well as women who are older (seniors), and women and their families who work in the grocery stores, coffee shops, at medical offices and other low-mid-range-salary jobs in the Tri-Cities communities.
