Hundreds of Booster and Flu Shots Administered This Winter

As a part of our vaccine confidence project, funded by Public Heath Agency of Canada’s Immunization and Partnership Fund, we hosted 22 vaccination clinics for the Covid-19 booster and the flu shot from October-December 2022. Our vaccine confidence project began in January of 2021 to address vaccine hesitancies and encourage women to get their vaccines. Many Canadians, especially those that are marginalized by public health services due to homelessness, gender, race, ethnicity and other social determinants of health may require support to help them understand, have confidence in, and receive available vaccines.

Through our recent clinics, our incredible team administered 118 Covid-19 booster shots and 170 flu shots to our tenants at various housing programs/pop-up sites. We look forward to continuing our work with the vaccine confidence project and supporting the women we serve in accessing booster and flu shots.
