Strong Women Strong Music 2017

In celebration of International Women’s Day, join us on the 6th, 7th and 8th of March for the 11th annual Strong Women Strong Music concert series! This concert features West Coast’s most prominent women jazz musicians, singing up a storm in support of Enterprising Women Making Art (EWMA), a program of Atira Women’s Resource Society. Revel in the voices and music of these talented artists while investing in the soul and spirit of the Downtown Eastside, where EWMA helps art and empowerment bloom.

One hundred percent of all proceeds from the three nights will go to EWMA. For more than thirteen years EWMA has provided safe, income-generating opportunities for women in the Downtown Eastside free from exploitation, abuse and other vulnerabilities.

For the second year in a row, we are delighted to be partnering with Vancouver Coastal Jazz and with their support we have again been able to extend the concert to three nights and to use their fantastic location, Frankie’s Jazz Club, where food will also be available. The Strong Women Strong Music Concerts are part of a month long celebration of women in jazz.

A credit card is used to hold your reservation but will NOT be charged when you make your reservation. It will be charged if you:

– Do not show up for your reservation
– Show up with fewer people than reserved for without adequate notification.

Please note: We require 6 hours notice for cancellations and decreases in party sizes.

In the event your credit card is charged, it will appear in US dollars on your statement and it will be processed at the current rate of exchange using XE.com

Reservations are held for 15 minutes after time reserved. After that time your table may be given away.

We seat people based on the order that the reservations are made starting with the best tables first. We will try to accommodate seating requests/changes on site if we can but we absolutely cannot guarantee them.
